To Whom It May Concern,
I have had the pleasure of arranging two tour groups led by Mr. Volker Vieth. Both were “Reformation” tours to Europe, The first was in m2017, a 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation, where we visited many sites throughout Germany where Martin Luther lived and worked. The second was in 2019 where we visited England and Scotland, visiting the sites of the English (King Henry VIII, largely) and Scottish (John Knox, largely) Reformation. Both were life-impacting trips that none of us will ever forget.
Mr. Vieth has an incredible sense for history and religion. He provided many valuable insights in both trips that gave us greater depth for how these respective countries experienced religious change. In addition, he is a delightful conversationalist, and a great story-teller. His humor and positive out-look are truly gifts. And he is so thoroughly prepared; every aspect of the trips are carefully thought through, and nothing is left to chance. We traveled with the greatest confidence that everything would be fine.
I might add that Volker is assisted by his wonderful wife, Raphaela, who provides “behind-the-scenes” support throughout the experience. In addition, we are currently working with Mr. Vieth in traveling on our third “Reformation” tour in.2022. This time to France, Switzerland, and Germany in pursuit of discovering more about the reformers, Ulrich Zwingli and John Calvin.
If I can provide any further help in giving a personal perspective on Volker Vieth and his work as a tour guide, please do not hesitate to contact me.
