Day 1

Frankfurt

Arrival at Frankfurt Airport. Depending on arrival time, guided city tour of downtown Frankfurt and time to explore Germany’s “business-capital”.
6:00 p.m. welcome cocktail and tour briefing.
Overnight in Frankfurt.

Day 2

Cologne

Short drive via Wiesbaden into the Rhine Valley and past the vineyards of the famous Riesling Wines to the city of Ruedesheim. From here a Rhine Steamer takes you downstream along numerous castles and vineyards to the famous Loreley Rock.
Onward by coach to Marksburg Castle, dominating thr Rhine and the city of Coblence, where you will have a lunchbreak in a beergarden restaurant at the conflux of the rivers Rhine and Moselle.

Via the remains of the famous Bridge of Remagen, that played an important role in WW II, the coach reaches the city of Cologne with it’s awsame Gothic Cathedral. Your tour director takes you on a walk through the medieval center of the city and to the cathedral. Overnight in Cologne.

Day 3

Berlin

From Cologne through „Ruhrgebiet“, the so called “Forge of Germany“, along Hannover to one of the most important monuments in modern german history – the checkpoint Marienborn, the former border between East- and West Germany.
Onward to Berlin, the capital of the reunited Germany – Europes most astounding and breathtaking mixture of history and modern times.
Overnight in Berlin.

Day 4

Brandenburg

See Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Menorial, Parliament “Reichstag” and other historic and the modern parts of Berlin.
In the afternoon explore Berlin on your own or join your tour director on an optional excursion to famous Potsdam Castle, home of the Prussian Kings.

Day 5

Nuremberg

Leave Berlin early this morning for a drive through former East Germany to Leipzig. Your tour director will take you on a walk to the famous St. Thomas Church, where the German composer Bach lived and worked and also show you Nikolai Church, where the East German liberation movement started before the wall came down.
In the afternoon continue to Nuremberg. Admire the medieval fortification walls and see interesting places of WW II history, such as Soldiers Field, where during the Nazi Regime Hitler took the parades of thousands of soldiers.
Overnight in Nuremberg.

Day 6

Munich

Leave Nuremberg for the medieval city of Rothenburg – one of the most beautiful historic cities with cobblestone lanes and 16th century houses – and a great place for shopping.
In the afternoon you will travel on the Romantic Road, passing farms, meadows and forests and quaint villages. In late afternoon arrive in Munich, the capial of Bavaria.
In the evening your tour director will offer you an optional excursion the famous beer hall Hofbräuhaus for a stein of beer and bavarian music and dances.
Overnight in Munich.

Day 7

Oberammergau

A local expert takes you on a tour of Munich in the morning, including the city center, the Olympic Stadium and BMW World.
In the afternoon a short ride into the Bavarian Alpine Mountains to the city of Garmisch.
Afternoon at leisure or accompany your tour director on an optional excursion to Linderhof Castle, the smallest and most charming of all the castles the Bavarian King Ludwig ever built.
Overnight in Oberammergau, home of the famous religious Passion Play

Day 8

Black Forest

Leave early for a scenic ride to King Ludwig’s Fairy Tale Castle. Admire the breathtaking view from the castle and during the inside visit you will understand how a Bavarian King made his dream come true.
In the afternoon via Lindau at Lake Constance to the the Southern Black Forest.
Overnight Black Forest.

Day 9

Frankfurt

Continue via the northern part of the Black Forest, visit Germany’s highest waterfalls near Triberg and enjoy a shopping stop at a cockoo clock factory.
The gigantic castle of Heidelberg is the last highlight of this tour before you return to Frankfurt in the evening.
Overnight in Frankfurt.

Day 10

Frankfurt

Today we bring you to Frankfurt Airport. Your flight to the U.S. arrives the same day.
